Understanding Mevlana

Under the leadership of Assistant Professor Neslihan Karakuş, a faculty member of the Department of Turkish Language Education, and organized by our department’s students Aslı Gün and Merve Macar, the program titled “Understanding Mevlana” took place on January 3, 2014, in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The program began with a slide presentation detailing Mevlana’s life and introducing his literary persona, followed by poetry readings on similar themes, and continued with a speech by Prof. Dr. Cihan Okuyu, a former faculty member of our university.  The program, which concluded with a musical performance and refreshments, drew significant interest from the students.
