Teaching Children's and Young Adult Literature

The program titled “Teaching Children’s and Early Adolescent Literature,” took place on May 13, 2014, in the Yunus Emre Conference Hall of the Faculty of Education.  The program began with a presentation by Mustafa Ruhi Şirin, President of the Children’s Foundation and author, covering topics such as basic literacy, reading culture, children’s literature culture, and the media dimension of children’s literature, and continued with questions posed to the author by our students.  At the end of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram Baş, Chair of the Department of Turkish Language Education, presented a plaque to Mustafa Ruhi Şirin.
