Procedures for Overlapping Courses
For overlapping courses, the following principles apply depending on whether the course has been taken previously:
a) If two practical courses conflict, these courses cannot be taken simultaneously, regardless of whether they have been taken before.
b) If one is a practical course and the other is a theoretical course, these courses may be taken together only if the theoretical course has been taken previously and a grade other than F0 was earned.
c) If two theoretical courses conflict, students may take these courses provided that at least one of them has been completed with a grade other than F0.
d) Students who meet the conditions for taking overlapping courses as outlined in clauses (b) and (c) may take one of the courses through the Student Information System and the other by decision of the faculty administrative board, limited to one time per semester.
Application Process
Students in this situation must submit a written request to the relevant department chair to take the overlapping course. Applications will be finalized with the department chair’s approval and a decision by the faculty administrative board, and the results will be entered into the OBS system by the dean’s office.
The deadline for submitting a written request to the faculty to take overlapping courses is September 23, 2026.
We wish you success in your course selection.
